2021-2022 SKATING REGISTRATION

Zorra Skating Club board of directors are happy to announce the upcoming registration for the 2021-2022 Skating Season. Registration will open at 7pm on Wednesday, August 4th.

A few notes on the upcoming registration:

  • We will run skating session 6 days a week between Embro and Thamesford arenas
  • All registrations are done online. Credits from last year will automatically be available during checkout.
  • We have renamed our CanSkate Sessions – Pre-Canskate (previously CanSkate A) and CanSkate (CanSkate B). If your child is learning to skate, and cannot skate independently, please register as Pre-CanSkate
  • We are no longer required to have the Parent and Tot (last year CanSkate A) sessions. So pack your blanket and enjoy from the stands.

Now on to COVID...

  1. We are not 100% sure on the Township’s protocols. We may need to adapt in the future as things change.
  2. We are following the current restrictions and guidelines which means some of our on-ice limits have greatly improved over last year. That being said, please see point 1.

Thank you everyone for supporting us last year, and being so understanding of all the changes. We are looking forward to the new skating season.

CARNIVAL DVD

Please use the following link to order your copy of the 45th annual Zorra Skating Club carnival – Happiness Is…   Each DVD costs $20.00 with the choice of DVD or Blue-Ray. We hope to distribute these DVDs at the carnival viewing and Awards night on June 7th.

APRIL LOCKDOWN

Due the lockdown order issued to begin tomorrow, we will not be able to properly finish our season. Our skaters and their families have been tremendous this year. We truly appreciated your support and patience in such a turbulent time.

We sincerely hope that you enjoyed the skating time that we did have, and I am amazed, once again, that we managed to sneak in our carnival, even if it didn’t look anything like it has in the previous 44 years. We look forward to showcasing your talents on the big screen.

This season would not have been as successful as it was without the dedication of the Board of Directors, and our coaches. I can’t thank them enough for their support through all of this.

Stay tuned for our AGM and our showing of our 45th carnival “Happiness Is” at the Oxford Drive-In on June 7th.  We wish all of our families a happy and healthy spring and summer and look forward to seeing your smiling faces back on the ice again next season!
